I just went and saw the Annie Lennox/Sting show here in the Seattle area this weekend. This was the first time I saw Annie Lennox live. All I can say is "Wow!" She totally blew me away in a big way. Has anybody here seen this show? The experience of seeing Annie live was a lot like seeing Cyndi live for the first time. It also was reminiscent of Cyndi being relegated to opening act for somebody that she just totally blew out of the water. Sting was so lackluster. What a disappointment! I saw him years ago in high school, but boy, has he gotten lazy. Sting was such a bore after seeing Annie Lennox. Her shorter set was intense and beautiful, while Sting just seemed to be going through the motions. Zzzzz! I remember hearing rumors that Cyndi and Annie wrote or tried to write some music together. Annie and Cyndi could make such an intense and awesome pair. Although, I could see where it would easily turn into a cat fight because they both seem quite in control of their craft. If you get the opportunity, I would strongly encourage all Cyndi fans to see Annie Lennox. She and Cyndi are definitely kindred spirits. Chris _______________________________ |
