Van woensdag 17 tot en met dinsdag 30 november staat de Rotterdamse Ahoy' in het teken van de 15de editie van het grote muziekfeest. Naast Cyndi Lauper zijn ook Joe Cocker, Shaggy, Van Dik Hout, panfluitspeler Damian én natuurlijk het orkest Il Novecento o.l.v. Robert Groslot, het koor Fine Fleur en John Miles van de partij. De excentrieke zangeres Cyndi Lauper scoorde in 1983-'84 wereldwijd hit na hit. Met de singles "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" en "'Time After Time" van het album "She's So Unusual" bereikte Cyndi Lauper de sterrenstatus. Ze verkocht alleen al in Amerika 4,5 miljoen albums en sleepte een Grammy Award voor 'Best Newcomer' in de wacht. Ook haar tweede album "True Colors" werd een succes. De gelijknamige single behaalde in menig land de toptien. Cyndi Lauper is nog steeds een opvallende verschijning die op het podium van Ahoy' iedereen zal intrigeren. The excentric singer Cyndi Lauper scored hit after hit in 83 - 84 with the singles Girls and Time from the album SSU and reached superstar status. She sold 4,5 million albums in America and got a grammy for best newcomer. Her 2nd album TC becaome a success. The title track went top ten in many countries.
