I love the Cd,I love her ballads best anyway,ALWAYS have,so it's pretty easy for me to love this disc. I also see it as songs Cyndi herself LOVES and grew up on and like she said these songs are the backdrop of her life. If not for these songs maybe she wouldn't be the singer she is today? I just can't help thinking when I hear these songs that I do feel Cyndi all over them. she's made them her own in many ways and it's kind of like a time warp because when I listen to this Cd I feel like I'm there with her in NYC in the 1950's/60's (even though I wasn't even born yet) I think had the stories been included on the Cd too,like the songs,it would have made this disc even more special.

I often think if I picked a Cd of songs that would had been the backdrop of my life it would be a very special and personal Cd to me,songs mostly from the 70's and 80's when I grew up. I can imagine this "At last" Cd is very special to Cyndi too. I would like to maybe make up a CDR of songs I consider the backdrop of my life. I'd be interested in hearing a Cd like that from my friends on the mailing list too. I think it could tell alot about a person. Only thing is I bet we would each fill the disc up with ALOT of Cyndi. I maybe would have to do two Cd's,one of just Cyndi's songs alone.
