I really do like at last.., i think it's a very neat cd with songs that make you feel somber, sad, and illusioned with the feeling that life is what it is.., and knowing that these songs have inspired cyn in some way make it a more pleasing treat..,i like music of all genres so i can listen to a song over and over again and find something new about it on every new listen.., one of my wishes came true though.., an album where's it's just cyn's voice and a piano.., hope there is a part 2 down the line.., not too soon but in the future..,cause this is a very good time to be a cyn fan and friend.., lots of peace geo jettlauper-comcast.net wrote: I love the Cd,I love her ballads best anyway,ALWAYS have,so it's pretty easy for me to love this disc. I also see it as songs Cyndi herself LOVES and grew up on and like she said these songs are the backdrop of her life. If not for these songs maybe she wouldn't be the singer she is today? I just can't help thinking when I hear these songs that I do feel Cyndi all over them. she's made them her own in many ways and it's kind of like a time warp because when I listen to this Cd I feel like I'm there with her in NYC in the 1950's/60's (even though I wasn't even born yet) I think had the stories been included on the Cd too, like the songs,it would have made this disc even more special. |
